Free Shipping Terms and Qualifications

ORDERS over $50 to the continental United States SHIP FOR FREE*

*Some products do not qualify for free shipping - such as some tanks, some roller bags, some closeout items, some spearguns, etc. If an item does not qualify for free shipping, it will display a message on the product detail page. Over 98% of the product options on HouseofScuba.com do qualify.

All products will ship via Standard Ground, First Class, or other shipping method deemed appropriate. Free shipping is only available in the continental US. Expedited shipping requests will be charged as normal - 3-Day, 2-Day, and Overnight shipments. International, APO, AK, HI, etc. do not qualify for free shipping. Special order or handling fees may still apply.

The order minimum to qualify for free shipping is $50.00. Tax, if applicable, and shipping rates do not count towards order total for free freight policy. May be used with gift certificates.

Free shipping offer applies only to items bought on the HouseofScuba.com website. We reserve the right to alter or discontinue the terms of the free shipping offer at any time.

If an item has an additional handling fee, those fees still apply.

If a refund is requested for any item that was eligible for free shipping, a restocking fee equivalent to the actual shipping cost for that item will be deducted from the refund.

Insurance

HouseofScuba.com strongly suggests that buyers purchase the appropriate insurance value for their order as HouseofScuba.com is not responsible for lost packages or any damage resulting from shipping carriers' or buyers' handling. However, we do everything we can to assist in package recovery, including filing inquiries and investigations with the shipping company (USPS or Fed Ex). We have partnered with these companies specifically because they offer the most reliable service available. If you receive your order and any item(s) is/are damaged, you must keep all of the packaging (box, packing material, bag, etc). We will not be able to warrant any damage claims without the original packaging.


International Shipping

Our website is set up to accept PayPal, and we offer several economical international shipping options. HouseofScuba.com will ship all international orders via USPS or FedEx and will ship to any country to which USPS or FedEx ships. Customer is responsible for all customs duties, rates, taxes, and brokerage fees. Our shipping charges are for postage costs only plus a reasonable handling fee.

PLEASE NOTE: We will hold all orders being shipped to countries that are experiencing high levels of fraud (ex: Brazil, Singapore, etc.) for 10 days to ensure payment is valid. Additional security measures may be applied at the discretion of HouseofScuba.com.

Calculating Shipping Costs

All items have calculated shipping weights instead of assigned flat rates to help keep shipping costs down, especially for multiple item purchases. All shipped packages will have either a tracking number or customs confirmation number. HouseofScuba.com has an additional shipping/handling flat rate for packing materials, confirmation (if applicable), and handling. Please be aware that specified oversized items will have different shipping and handling rates. A representative will contact you to confirm the appropriate rate.

Delivery Times

All in-stock orders are usually shipped within 24-48 business hours upon receiving payment. Delivery times below are estimated based upon extensive shipping experience. Please note that delays or differences in delivery may occur due to unforeseeable events or extreme weather. We ship only with Fed Ex and USPS (United States Postal Service). Orders to military APO/FPO or DPO addresses, Guam, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, Alaska, and U.S. territories will ship through USPS only.

  • USPS Priority Mail typically arrives in 2-3 business days after shipping within the United States. Please note that USPS does not guarantee delivery times.
  • USPS Ground Advantage (domestic) is for packages weighing 15.9 ounces or less shipping within the US only; it can also apply to larger packages with free/economy shipping. Delivery is generally completed within 1 week EXCEPT FOR HAWAII - which can take 3-5 WEEKS.
  • USPS Media Mail is for media such as books, DVDs, and other printed materials shipping within the US only. Media Mail delivery can take anywhere from 1-3 weeks depending on the shipping address.
  • FedEx ground delivery to residences and businesses ranges from 2-6 business days from shipping date depending on the delivery address. Fed Ex delivery is used for shipping within the 48 contiguous States only.
  • International shipping times vary. Please contact us for average delivery times (not guaranteed). We ship internationally through USPS and FedEx. These are the methods available: Airmail/First Class International (insurance not available; delivery confirmation available only for Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Israel, Denmark, Belgium, Croatia, Germany, France, Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland), Priority Mail International (6-14 days average, includes tracking and insurance coverage up to $60), and Priority Express Mail International (4-12 days average, includes tracking and insurance coverage up to $100), FedEx International Economy (4-14 days depending on country and customs), and FedEx International Priority (2-12 days depending on country and customs). Our average times are noted but not guaranteed as there may be unavoidable delays due to packages going through Customs.

Rush Orders

We normally process and ship all orders within 48 business hours. If you require faster service, phone your order in before noon (Pacific Standard Time) and specify RUSH SERVICE. We'll get it out the same day at a minimal $5.00 charge. For those last minute rush shipments, we offer same day shipment if you call us between 12:00pm - 2:00pm PST for a $10.00 must-ship fee. Must-ship fees may be added to a web order (search for item codes IN2 or IN3 and click to add 1 to your basket); please call us once you have completed checkout to confirm receipt of your order.

Exchanges

Any item may be exchanged for any in-stock item of equal or lesser value. If you wish to exchange for an item of greater value, we will apply the amount of the item being exchanged, and you may pay the remaining balance, including shipping if applicable, by any accepted payment method. HouseofScuba.com will notify buyer via email once the exchanged item has been received and processed.

30/60/120-Day Return Policy

Refunds or exchanges are for item value and will not include shipping and handling costs. If a refund is requested for any item that was eligible for and utilized free shipping, a restocking fee equivalent to the actual shipping cost for that item will be deducted from the refund. At HouseofScuba.com, we are pleased to offer one of the most flexible and customer-friendly return policies in the industry: a 30/60/120-day Satisfaction Guarantee on all of our merchandise.

  • If it is within 60 days and the items are in new condition with original packaging, there is a 100% credit or refund available on any item.
  • If it is between 60 - 120 days and the items are in new condition with original packaging, we will email you a gift certificate for 100% of the item value that can be used to purchase any product we sell on the HouseofScuba.com website.
  • If it is within 30 days and the items are used or not returned with original packaging, it is not a problem, we will email you a gift certificate for 100% of the item cost to be used to purchase any product we sell on the HouseofScuba.com website.
  • If it is within 60 days and the items are used or not returned with original packaging, it is not a problem, we will email you a gift certificate for 75% of the item cost to be used to purchase any product we sell on the HouseofScuba.com website.
  • Due to copyright laws, Books, CD's, DVD's, and Video Tapes may not be returned.
  • Prescription lens orders may not be returned

To return an item, you do not need to contact us for a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number - simply fill out our RMA Form and return with a copy of your invoice and the item being returned. Please see RMA Form for all return details. After completing the RMA form, pack the item securely and ship by an economical, reasonable means - buyer is responsible for all return postage fees. HouseofScuba.com will notify buyer via email of refund once the item has been received and processed. Buyer can expect a refund within 3 to 14 business days after we have received the return item.
