Deep Diver Course

Overview

After your first few scuba dives, it’s natural to want to explore deeper. There’s something exciting and mysterious about the depths that draws divers in. The PADI Deep Diver Specialty Course gives you the training and experience to safely dive between 60–130 feet (18–40 meters) under the guidance of a certified instructor.

This specialty is exhilarating and expands your diving opportunities, opening access to shipwrecks, unique marine life, and deep-water environments that many divers never experience.

Class Schedule

• 4 Dives Total – Conducted over two full days, typically a weekend

Requirements

• Minimum Age: 15
• Prerequisite: PADI Adventure Diver (or higher, or equivalent certification)

What You’ll Learn

• Techniques for safely diving between 60–130 feet (18–40 meters)
• Deep scuba diving equipment considerations
• Experience in planning, organizing, and making four deep dives under instructor supervision

What’s Included & What You’ll Need

Included:

• Instruction from certified PADI professionals
• 4 open water dives
• Deep Diver Crew-Pak (with purchase option)

Required (Student-Provided):

• Standard personal scuba gear (mask, snorkel, fins, booties, gloves, hood)
• Exposure protection appropriate for deeper, colder dives (wetsuit or dry suit recommended)

Your Next Adventure

Many shipwrecks are located in deeper waters, making the PADI Wreck Diver Specialty a natural complement to the Deep Diver course. These specialties can often be taken concurrently.
